Is it a bring a bottle party for your playoff record?
It’ll be over by the time you turn up in week 6

I’m nothing but consistent!
I’ll be eating Noel but Chris won’t be eating a carvery he’s going to have a sandwich from there so he’ll still need a seat at the table. so +2
Opps - that’s scuppered my idea - I went in last night and upon talking with the manager and to make sure we can all sit together booked the largest table he has - 16 seats… only people eating have to pay but as we is one group my app only gets 20% off food for 6… however I thought as we is getting a group bill thought if we all chucked £11 in each that would cover a carvery and 1 drink plus a tip as a Carvery is £6.49, a pint am unsure but a pint of shandy last night cost me £3.35 so with my 20% off £6.49 for 6 of us thought each person chucking in £11 would cover it with a tip for the waitress though not sure if they expect one or not as you kind of go help ya-self but the server does come and give you a bill - arr shucks we’ll work it out on the day I guess. Also if some having puddings that throws this out the window so who knows.
Any way manager said only those that eat have to pay so reserving the big table didn’t mean we had to pay for 16 so at least if you can make it by 1:30pm you can eat in the group.
Also I noticed a sign about Pay and Display which was not in their car park last year - so I enquired and they have had a lot of trouble with commuters and shoppers dumping their cars there all day and going away meaning patrons cant find a space so they have an external firm police it now. So don’t get clamped - apparently it’s £2 for 2 hours but if your a patron you get the money back off your bill, food or drinks at the bar - just remember to go back out every 2 hours which is a pain to get another ticket. Also he said if your staying at the hotel next door who share same car park they give you a pass to stick in ya car window. I will check again to see if you can pre pay for several hours in one go - but this is their own car park to the side and round the back - not the one out front some of you made mistake and parked out front in last year which is a pay and display council car park - no clue how much there rates are but you wont be getting that fee back at the bar, that’s for sure.
Noel that a nightmare is there a walkable car park
Perhaps the manager arrange some passes for us?? Failing that is anyone staying over who can get multiple passes?
Posted this on Discord, we have 4 options:-
-
£1 per 2 hours in their car park. You get a ticket which you can offset against whatever you buy inside. Lady couldn’t confirm if you could reclaim more than £1 though.
-
£10 for the whole day. You can reclaim £1 of it from whatever you buy inside.
-
Getting a pass if you stay in the attached hotel.
-
Nearby street parking
Noel - I should have just sent you my league fees, so would be grateful if you could confirm by bolding me up when you get a moment
£10 each to park to bring a big party to eat at their carvery. If they can’t sort passes I 'd rather spend the £10 on finding our own room with free parking as that’s a joke tbh. You need to play hardball with them
I will go back in and confirm with manager but he said last night you can keep reclaiming all the fees at the bar but I will double check that with him - it’s not so bad as you put ticket in windscreen and the back you hand over at bar get the money back off food or drink.
I agree with Al. £160 would get us a great room somewhere on a quiet Saturday afternoon.
Noel - can you ask the Manager for some passes, tell him the group aint happy with this new arrangement. On Discord chat there’s a suggestion to move which is probably too short notice, but I would favour a different venue next season, obviously i’m biased because Its such a difficult location to get to, but the apres-draft offers nothing in Redhill.
Robert - if you’re reading this, you know I’m going to be dogging the backside off you to host with Noel in 2017.
The issue’s not £2 for 2 hours parking, it’s having to go in and out buying new tickets every couple of hours as the draft usually ends up taking 5-6 hrs. I suppose I could just pay £10 for the all day parking but that seems a bit of a con too. Can they sort some passes out for a large party who are obviously staying more than 2 hours?
Hopefully just the 5hours, il have to leave at 8
I’m coming by train and staying over on the Saturday night - so I can ask for a parking pass for one car if that will help

You raise a good point
If the draft starts at 3pm it’s optimistic to assume it will take five hours.
It would but with zero breaks is that the plan…
Think its been done in 5 previously. Only a short beer /toilet pit stop break every 3 rounds so quicker than the Northampton draft?
Thanks jon
I enjoyed having the breaks last year, it wouldn’t be fair to skip them on my behalf. If i could even get to the third last round, and give someone trustworthy enough my Kicker/Defence rankings and let them choose for me. And hope nobody is sly enough to select the Saints D for me
Anyone time the Northampton draft? How long did it take start to finish if so?
