**** EXCETIUVE DECISION ****
Hey all - I have had some discussions with Sean and he has very passionately put his views across regards my strike rule vote and he is so dead against it - it has shaken me - so much so I think it’s causing a real division amongst owners that I have decided to take an exec decision and pull it and leave it as a grey area. I know this sounds strange but at the end of the day we have had 2 great years where no one has deliberately not set line-ups to hurt others but only as part of a strategy (i.e. getting all the Bye’s over and done with in a 1 week hit). I guess Seans passionate voice messages to me on Watts App and saying this would make a very vanilla draft and make this a ‘no fun league’ have shaken me somewhat. Throw in the fact those using ipads can’t vote have made me re-think this as it seems to be breaking up the good vibe my league has had in years 1&2. Also its a hell of a lot of work for me to administer the strike rule (I know as have these rules in my free leagues - there their to stop flakes and quitters that you get in free leagues - which is not necessary in money leagues especially one that costs £100 to join).
So for these reasons am shelving that 1 poll and leaving it open to people using their best judgement as to what they want to do - you pay your money so you do as you see fit with your team… in the end you should not be relying on others to get you in to post season and hope like the first 2 years people see why people do what. This wont please everyone but hopefully Sean will make a video where he can be as passionate in explaining why he was so dead against this rule as he was in voice messages to me - so that he can convince you who like me where on the other side of the fence.
Now that hopefully is put to bed I can get a good nights sleep and look forward to those of you coming early doors for the Carvery - again please let me know so I can add you to the list and confirm numbers to venue for table booking.

Actually re-reading this am assuming the yes’s are for Simon, Sean and Shani (the three S’s) singing up for lunch at 1:30pm - am I correct?

I should be there for lunch and totally fine with the freedom to do what we like with our rosters. We’re all adults and putting the effort/cash on the line for the league so I don’t think there’s anyone not taking it seriously.

Alan: with lunch at 1:30, think the aim will be to start drafting at 3:00. Took about 3 1/2 to 4 hours in total last time if I remember . And the Toby Carvery is at 2 Redstone Hill, Redhill, RH1 4BL

@Outsiders68 - thanks for doing that video Sean hopefully all in this league will have a watch of it and see why I scrapped the poll on it (however all other polls for rule tweaks are still live and results will determine rule sets and options used for this year etc.)
I have put together an initial itinerary for proceedings next week:-
1.00pm Arrival, greetings and lunch
1.50pm Handing out of last year’s medals/trophies/ring
1.55pm Celebration of the 173.16
2.30pm 1 minute silence for Brad’s previous high score
2.31pm Everything else
