Also have been putting up polls on NFL.com for TFP Originals to vote on as per this discussion thread and still wondering what your roster limits ask was - I am sure you meant position roster limits - i.e. a max of owing 2 QB’s or such like right?
Just out-right roster limits we already have being the total number of players on a team (starters and bench spots).

This is an update on how things stand - right now I have posted up polls on NFL.com with in the ‘TFP Originals’ league for current GM’s to vote on to decide some of these out-standing proposals.
1. Waivers - We are using the ‘waivers never reset’ option for this year and will look again next off season as to which one suits us best having then tried all 3 - or indeed if we should continue a rolling cycle round the 3 options in the order we have trialled them.
2. Tie-breakers - A poll is up with all the options the game currently allows (4 choices) - the option with the majority of votes will be used this season.
3. Changes to Roster Positions (i.e. TE/RB/WR Flex) - This league will remain the same as standard NFL.com leagues mirroring any default roster position changes they make only!
4. Removing Kickers/Defences - As above (in point 4.) so quite simply NO - K’s/Def’s will be staying (unless NFL.com removes them as default positions in its standard NFL.com leagues)
5. Schedules - A poll is up and winning option will be implemented for 2016.
6. Ethics - This was a very hotly debated bone of contention and we seem to be split in to two camps regarding this. I was going to arbitrarily introduce my Strike Rules that I use in many of my free leagues but the arguments by some of you on the other side of the fence has made me re-consider doing this carte blanche… I have not changed my personal view point but as to whether introducing my strike rules is the best course of action and if I am in a minority on this one is open to debate so have set up a poll on whether starting injured players or players/teams on Byes is acceptable. I personally feel you should start a valid line up every week even if a weakened one (as in you can not leave unfilled roster spots or players in on Byes just as real sports teams would send out kids or lesser players to field a full team). So a poll as to whether we introduce my strike rules or not is now up. This is to make it clear from before the draft what is and is not acceptable in this league - majority rules on this so it’s very important all vote. If we don’t vote on this that means we stay as we are and people can do as they please which leaves a grey area. I personally don’t like that but so long as we all know prior to drafting what the rules are we can not have any complaints when/if it happens and any sanctions applied (if my strike rules were voted in). This is a personal preference vote - don’t vote for what you think is legal, ethical or proper… vote for what you would prefer to happen in this league - do you want people to be able to throw a game and leave roster positions empty or with players/defences on byes or not. Simple as that!
7. Drafting position - This year people will have the chance to pick their spot - The order will be randomly drawn as in past years but this time people can pick their draft position (unless you drew #16 in which case you have the last spot left). However the waiver wire will be set as a reverse of the pick numbers so if you ended up with #16 and not able to pick a draft spot you will at least be #1 on the waiver wire. So whoever draws number 1 picks first what draft position they want but regardless of what position they pick they will be last on the waiver wire priority post draft.
8. Locking Divisions - No - Divisions will be re-drawn annually on draft day and thus always have an element of randomness/luck as to who your pitted against in the regular season.
9. Roster Limits - Need Shani to elaborate exactly what he means by this before can say yay or nay as to my mind we currently have a roster limit - the number of players on our bench along with our starters makes the limit of our rosters and I think it’s about right as it is?
10. Trading Draft Picks - Poll is up to vote on this. I am open to this but mindful of accusations of collusion - so am putting this to a vote and if the majority go for this can introduce on a trial basis this year with a view to reviewing it post season and withdrawing or amending as necessary before the next season. Also trades must be equal in number - as in everyone must trade the same number of picks with one another - system requirement for me to be able to enter all our picks into the game on NFL.com post draft. This could actually make the draft day much more exciting as people may worry about a player they want going so try to move up the draft by swapping picks with other teams. However remember there will be a clock and if it lapses the next team can go ahead and make their pick (just like in the real NFL draft).
So that’s the state of play right now… hope I haven’t missed anything - please go and vote on all the polls within the league itself on NFL.com and then when all have done so I can edit these rules with what has been decided by majority of votes cast.

Picking first and having the potential to take draft spot 16 and have number 1 waiver spot is too big of an advantage. 1st pick in my view (and definitely others, as this was discussed for the Challenger League) should have last waiver priority and so on.

I don’t get your issue - draft order will be a reverse of round 1 actual draft order… so if you draw 1, and pick spot 1 you will be last on waivers but if you draw 1 and pick 16 spot you will be 1st on waivers.
Only other way to do this would be manually enter waiver order as a reverse of pick order - is that what they did in challengers league?
So in effect regardless of draft spot in round 1 the waiver order is a reverse of the pick numbers - so in effect who ever got #16 - didn’t get to pick there draft spot is 1st on waivers… actually that sounds okay and quite fair actually.

I skimmed this too fast and voted yes on the poll. In hindsight I would vote no (but can’t change my vote).
I thought we were talking about draft position picks not actual player picks.
Well you only have yourself to blame on that one - don’t skim on important polls in future.

Okay all - I went in to the venue Friday night and booked a table for 7 for 1.30pm but said I would call and adjust numbers when I knew how many was coming for lunch before we draft.
Also I downloaded the Toby Carvery app and found an offer that gets 20% off food for up to a party of 6. So if more than 6 want to do lunch I wonder if we should book as two seperate parties and if someone else registers they can get that offer to.
So please confirm if your coming for lunch with the group (if not I would estimate draft starting at 3pm).

Carvery, then check into hotel next door, then draft, then a couple of beers and a de-brief on how it all went!
