SB 50 @ The Hipp

Shani, meal location and time be discussed nearer the night but I’m hoping for 7 or 8pm. Time will fly by…

Totally open to choice of eatery, one suggestion I will put on the table early is the highly regarded steak house inside the Hipp. The Heliot…

When I heard the Hipp had a 24 hour steak house that was very highly rated on TA I suspected mental prices but no, the prices seem to be in line with std London steak house prices.

Just one suggestion… If people prefer cheaper option thats cool too.

@CitrusPlayer I really like that menu Gordon and the prices seem very reasonable for London. The only thing is that we might want to spend some time elsewhere before SB start … change of scenery … but we could do that if we go for drinks somewhere else after the meal? Just a thought.

Your right Anders on both counts, the menu looks great but I agree that one night in the same venue might not be to everyone’s liking. Also, I think Dan and I and you (depending on your plans) might end up getting the 0548 train so we will have plenty of time to explore the heliot for breakfast if people don’t fancy it the night before.

I will come up with some more suggestions very soon and everybody else is welcome to do the same.

Not sure what’s open early in the morning on a Monday!!! There used be a 24 hour place aptly called Vignt Quatre for cowfee in Slightly west London
Where are you catching your trains from?

Thanks Shani, 3 of us that I know of will be travelling back from Paddington. I’m not too concerned with the morning as we can simply stay put in the 24 hour casino. Though if somebody could suggest a good early breakfast nearby the hipp or Paddington that could be of interest.

So, less than a week to go to the culmination of another great season. Really looking forward to the big game and being able to watch it with you all!

In an effort to entice those coming for the game but not yet committed to the pre game food here are a bunch of options for filling our bellies prior to hitting the Hippodrome. Please let me know your preference some time this working week so that I can book a table in advance. Oh, and by all means other suggestions are welcome…

I gotta be honest I fancy something American myself on the day - ribs perhaps. Guy at poker said there’s a Bodeans not far away (on Charring Cross Road). Quick search on line think my poker pal was mistaken - nearest one I think to Hippodrome is in Soho - Poland Street.

Hi Gordon can you give me rough Timings of when eating and then heading to Hipp

Hi Noel, I’m totally happy to go American if that’s what the group fancy. The only reason I did not list an American was because the Hipp are serving American food all night.

Hi Shani,

We want to be at the Hipp by 9-30/9-45. Think the latest we could meet for food would be about 8pm. Hope you can make it dude.

Pizza or Indian but at the end of the day I don’t really mind where we’re going :grinning:

Would have thought it would be good to meet up at 7 or 7:30 for a drink before the meal. Is anybody up for that?

Myself and Dan (I expect) will be up for that dude… I’m simply saying 8pm for food as I dont want to lock anybody out who cant make it earlier than that.

Great, looking forward to catching up again Mary.

We have Anders, Dan, Mary, myself and possibly Simon, Shani & Noel for food. Looking for confirmations when you can people please? Any more would be great.

Although we will not be at the Hippodrome, myself and @Steelers84 (Possibly +1) would like to join all of you.

Sounds good Andy, always enjoy meeting football fans. Keep an eye on this thread for details of which restuarant and time.

@awnfl gonna just be me and you going up. It will be good to meet up with everyone before the big game itself.

Any thoughts on how many are going and where we are headed yet?
