SB 50 @ The Hipp

I’m definitely out early with u guys for food, count me in!

Dean -

Although she does not know it yet I am currently in her bad books, on NYE we went out with friends and chat came around to the small challenge of going Veggie for the whole of January. Both me and the Mrs agreed and our friends handed us some money on the condition that we get to keep it if we both reach Feb on all things but meat.

Everything was going just great until I totally forgot this morning, on arrival at work and still half asleep I made my way to the kitchen and bought a good old fashioned sausage roll… It was amazing!!

It was only when I through the wrapper in the bin that I remembered lol. Sex is a no no this week for sure ; )

Good man Simon, be sure to let us know what you fancy as the night draws closer…

I’m in for this - 100% (caveat if I’m going to the Hipp that is). See I got real issues as I’ve been to every Super Bash last four years with my brother and still not told him about Super Bash being cancelled and so depending how he feels I may have to go elsewhere (with him) - originally I thought Jon had dibs on a ticket and if he was going to pass (he wouldn’t know for a few weeks) I was going to pounce but looks like that’s no longer the case so I just may have to give up mine (sell it on) if he still wants to go out for Super Bowl.

I will e-mail him now and wait for a response. Watch this space. :anguished:

Hi Noel,

I just want to start with, it would be “great” if you could make it and a
"real shame" if you choose not to, honestly! I hope your in. I did leave a
space open for Jon in the hope that he could work out his position but he
assured me last weekend that he would not know his availability until much
closer to the time and there was a high chance he would not make it. We
agreed to offer his ticket out.

As I keep saying I think a night out is about the people your with and
usually the more the merrier. With that thought I am very keen to ensure
that all 9 seats are taken.
Currently we have 2 really good characters who would like to join the group
and are currently working out if they can make it, yet only one spare
ticket. With a view to ensuring we get all 9 seats filled I respectfully ask
that you let me know 100% either way in the coming days. Andy & Steelers
may still be looking for an event too so if both of the 2 people above
could not make it we could still be in time to offer the 2 seats to them,
its always good to meet other NFL fans.

Many thanks fella

Gordon when will you know by ?

I am about to PM you fella

I’m 100% in.

Ok Noel, thanks for letting us know. Its great to have you on board.

I’ll be up for a group meal to before hand!

Cool Beans Noel

I have phoned the Hippodrome but alas they are not opening another room. Dave and me are looking at other venues and we may still end up at the O2. Brooklyn Bowl is showing the game, the venue is actually ok (been there before) and we get to have a customary drink in the Slug.

I may try phoning the Hippodrome again, as you never know, speaking to a different person may yield another result.

If we choose the O2 venue it’s only a short Tube journey to Central London, so we’ll try and meet up with you all for food and a drink before you all head to the Hippodrome. (Noel’s suggestion - it hadn’t even crossed my mind).

A meet up for grub or beer pre SB sounds good!

We have now filled our group, all 9 seats are taken!

I reached out to Shani a week or so ago but he had other plans for the night. As it turns out those plans were cancelled and I’m delighted to say he is now coming to the Hipp!! :stuck_out_tongue:

We are now:

Mary, Dan, Noel, Sean, Dean, Simon, Shani, Anders & Myself

Good work Gordon, that’s great news. Thanks for organising, really looking forward to Superbowl.

It is good news, thanks Dean…

There’s few things better than a crowd of NFL fans getting together for a big game!

It looks like kick off for the SB will be at 11-30pm. This seems earlier than last year… ?

Anyway, that’s a finishing time of about 3am. Some of us may need to fill our time while waiting on trains… Open to suggestions…

#GoCardinals

At the risk of sounding boring, get a room and go to sleep

Although I am also keen to hear other peoples thoughts.

I’ll drive or train in and drive or taxi home after - what time are you meeting for the meal?

It really depends on what time the game and banter finish… I think we have a train at about 3-30am but the cab would take about 15 mins so we may not make that. That leaves us close to 3 hours to kill lol. I was wondering if anybody can suggest a good 24 hours cafe’s we could visit, maybe some very early breakfast

Could always stay in the casino, strippers will be shut I guess ; )
