Out for season finale

Edwards-Helaire (ankle) has been ruled out for Sunday’s game against the Chargers.

Analysis: Fellow running back Le’Veon Bell (knee) is listed as questionable for the contest, but with Kansas City having clinched a first-round playoff bye, depth options Darrel Williams and Darwin Thompson should both be in store for a fair share of touches regardless of Bell’s status. Edwards-Helaire, meanwhile, will set his sights on being ready to play in time for the Chiefs’ postseason opener Jan. 16 or 17.

x1 Started WR - Sammy Watkins - (KC) who was ruled out before his teams actual game day.

Won’t play Sunday

Watkins (calf) has been ruled out for Sunday’s game against the Chargers.

Analysis: The Chiefs will be down both of their top wideouts, as Tyreek Hill (hamstring) is also sitting out the regular-season finale. As a result, the Chiefs – who have clinched the AFC’s No. 1 seed and a first-round bye – will likely roll out Demarcus Robinson, Mecole Hardman and Byron Pringle as their starting receivers Week 17. Watkins will look to return to action in Kansas City’s playoff opener Jan. 16 or 17.

Tyron Webb - THEGMEN - UK x2 for:

x1 Started DL - Joey Bosa - (LAC) who was ruled out before his teams actual game day.

Out again for season finale

Bosa (concussion) has been ruled out for Sunday’s game against the Chiefs.

Analysis: The 25-year-old will finish the season with two straight absences after suffering the concussion Week 15. Bosa ends the 2020 campaign with 39 tackles (29 solo), 7.5 sacks and one fumble recovery in 12 games.

x1 Started LB - Leighton Vander Esch - (DAL) who was ruled out before his teams actual game day.

Won’t play Week 17

Vander Esch (ankle) has been ruled out for Sunday’s game against the Giants, Adam Caplan of SiriusXM NFL Radio reports.

Analysis: The 24-year-old will be sidelined for the second consecutive game to finish the regular season. The Cowboys will need to make the playoffs for Vander Esch to have a chance of returning to the field this season.
