Here we go again…!
To any of our returning players from last year - welcome back! To any new players - welcome!
This is now the main league thread for the 2025 version of the Originals League - the twelfth year of TFP’s original fantasy league with its live in-person draft day.
The roll of honour so far is:
2014 – Chris Parkes
2015 – Dean Poole
2016 – Robert McGregor
2017 – Chris Jennings
2018 – Jon Cartwright
2019 – Javier Aparicio
2020 – Sean Connors
2021 – Shani Senaratne
2022 – Toby Nash
2023 – Dan Nichols
2024 – Jordan Allaway
Eleven years and eleven different winners is crazy - almost as though the whole thing is a bit random! Will we finally crown a repeat winner this time?

The draft will take place on Saturday August 30th, from 12.00, at the Mayflower Village pub, Southampton.
Note - NOT the IBIS hotel!!Their function room wasnt available this year.
From the date of this post until the end of April, the league is open only to returning managers from the 2024 season.
After that point, it is first come first served for anyone wanting to join the league.
The cost of league entry will remain at £125, the same as the last few years. You are signed into the league only when you have paid!
This is a live draft league – as always, preference is given to managers who can be at the draft day in person.
SIGN UP LIST
Here is the list of managers who are confirmed for the 2025 league. Once people have signed up, and paid up, I will add their names onto the list.

I’m in Jon and hoping for a 12th different winner!
Is this new venue walkable from the station?

Got the money, ta - and yes it is very close to the station.
A few tears ago we had the draft upstairs in a bar called Papillon - this place is just across the road from there.

Found a moment to update the all-time standings.
- Sean still has most wins all time, despite last season’s poor showing
- Al has lost 86 match-ups in the history of the Originals, so in theory this season he could become the first person into three figures!
- Dan A has the worst win percentage, at only 34% - an incentive to return to the league this season and try to improve things
- 11 years, 11 champions… surely this is the year that someone (hopefully me!) repeats
No - I want a 12th new Champion!
I’m curious now how many years it was before there was a Super Bowl repeat team winner in the real NFL?
Well it was 2 years - Green Bay won both SB1 and SB2 !
Doh - I should of known that!
