Alas, several seasons ago NFL.com got rid of its ‘NFL Weekly Pick’Em’ game, which was a great shame. It took me some years hopping around various US sites that actively started to make non-US players not allowed to register or play, so finally found a website made by a British guy to do a weekly ‘NFL Pick’em’ league on. I used this website last season but not gotten anywhere near the numbers I used to get in my money league when held on NFL.com’s site.
So, this year am really going to give it a hard push. If you like the NFL, then why not get involved - there is no scoring to predict - you just have to select which team you think will win every NFL game during the season. It is a simple as that.
I know Sleeper does a game now to, but unfortunately Sleeper only cares about people using its app - it does not actually offer its Pick’em and other spin off / stand-alone games via its full website. So, if I chose Sleeper, it cuts down on the amount of perspective players who would consider joining my money leagues as lots of people still use lap tops and PC’s, not just their phone and some don’t want to download extra apps to just play in a league. I myself like the choice of either platform (app/website) in case say I lose my phone, it gets robbed or my PC breaks down - it’s nice to have the other option as back up. Then there is being able to support a fellow Brit bringing more users to his gamesite which he does not charge anyone to use. Developers will know how many hours they put into making websites so kind of he’s built it now will people come use it?
But I digress, with just under a week to go until the NFL regular season starts, I really need all of yours help to forward the link to this info or use it to post on your social media platforms to help me spread the word. If you have ever done any money games of mine before, and trust me then please vouch for me too. We (as in all entrants to my money league) need a decent entry pool to make it both competitive and decent prize pay-outs (as I’m paying top 3) at the conclusion of the game.
So, my private money league is £10 to enter with a top 3 pay-out as follows:
PRIZES
1st - 60%
2nd - 30%
3rd - 10%
Prizes are given as percentages as I don’t know how many entrants I will get, but all entry fees go back out as prizes, so the bigger the league entry pool, the bigger the pay-outs!
So that’s it, please spread the word and get your mates involved. All I ask is everyone who joins to have paid before the first game of NFL Week 2 starts.
