For only the second time ever, I am running a fantasy golf money league.
This is a stand-alone game I found last year just for the Masters tournament which starts on April 9th this year. It seems rather simple and that’s what I like as I don’t know much about pro golf but do enjoy watching highlights of big tournaments like The Masters or The Ryder Cup etc. and so, a set and forget type game is perfect as once you have entered and your chosen players tee off there’s nothing else to do but sit and watch how your chosen players get on.
I have read the sites game rules and done an entry myself. I notice it’s a free game that anyone can play from anywhere in the world but to be eligible to win the official overall games prizes you have to live in the USA.
However, in my private league that I have set up (BLM Masters 2026) I am making it £5 GBP to join and that will go to make up prizes for our own winner(s) no matter where in the world you reside. All are welcome - as long as you pay the internal entry fee. All entry fees go back out as prizes.
I believe due to the simplicity of the game it is quite likely people will have the same players so for this reason the tie breaker becomes very important as I believe it will be used to split ties for league table positions. So, for the avoidance of doubt the tie breaker question may be used to break ties in private leagues too and I will pay out on how the game site lists you at the end of the Masters.
I have zero clue how many entries I will get in my money league so if it’s less than 11 my league will be Winner Takes All but if there are 11 or more entries then I will make prize pay-outs for 1st and 2nd place. I will confirm prize pay-out(s) on Thursday once I know how many entries I have.
