Masters Fantasy Golf 2025 - £5 Money League (Set & Forget Type Game)

Hey TFP’ers,

For the first time ever, I am running a fantasy golf money league.

This is a stand-alone game I found just for the Masters tournament that starts on April 10th. It seems rather simple and that’s what I like as I don’t know much about pro golf, but do enjoy watching highlights of big tournaments like The Masters or The Ryder Cup etc. So a set and forget type game is perfect as once you have entered and your chosen players tee off there’s nothing else to do but sit and watch how your chosen players get on.

I have read the sites game rules and done an entry myself. I notice it’s a free game that anyone can play from anywhere in the world but to be eligible to win the official overall games prizes you have to live in the USA.

However, in my private league that I have set up (BLM Masters 2025) I am making it £5 GBP to join and that will go to make up prizes for our own winner(s) no matter where in the world you reside. All are welcome - as long as you pay the internal entry fee. All entry fees go back out as prizes.

I believe due to the simplicity of the game it is quite likely people will end up picking the same players so for this reason the tie breaker becomes very important as I believe it will be used to split ties for league table positions. So, for the avoidance of doubt the tie breaker question may be used to break ties in private leagues too and I will pay out on how the game site lists you at the end of the Masters.

I have zero clue how many entries I will get in my money league so if it’s less than 11 my league will be ‘Winner Takes All’ but if there are 11 or more entries then I will make prize pay-outs for 1st and 2nd place. I will confirm prize pay-out(s) on Thursday once I know how many entries I have.

Shout out to PatRichards, Joaquin of Pringles, Kano’s boys, Nezzy, Toder Abit & 3 Putt F1, I don’t know who you are - you must have seen my posts on either here (TFP forum), Facebook, X or been forwarded an e-mail. I’ve not received any PM’s on any platform nor e-mail from you that I can see so if you see this you need to get in contact ASAP because if you’ve not paid the entry fee before the start of the Masters on Thursday you can not win any £££ prizes. It’s great getting new players in my games but you need to make contact and make entry payment.

Starting to get a lot of entries and don’t know who you are as it does not show real names in the league so you need to tell me your roster name and make payment before start of The Masters to be in for the prize money!

Will be 1st & 2nd as have over 10 entries. Big shame 6 players appear to have joined this money league but not reached out to me to make contact / pay entry dues. :man_shrugging:

I’m not sure what the answer is going forward - I advertise publicly to try and increase entry pools.

I could perhaps only send a link once a person has paid but wonder if creating an extra step would put some people off. Not sure which ways best. Allowing interlopers in does make screen grabbing final tables much more work for me as I need to edit them knocking out the welchers.

Or I could maybe create a new league and just reinvite the paid up players to join it. Pretty sure rosters would carry in. Hmmm :thinking:

Edit Brilliant news, I have discovered on the app I have the ability to remove entries from my league. I am unsure if this ability will dissapear after tournament starts. Will maybe go as close to the first tee off time as possible and then remove unpaid for / unknow entries.

PS If you have paid make sure to tell me your entries name especially if you are a newbie. Right now I have just recieved 1 payment from someone I do not recognise (new player) so need to know your actual entries name to mark you down as paid. Also to avoid removing your entry in error. So reach out to me. Either e-mail me or PM me from here (the TFP forum). Tell me your name (to marry up with payment), roster entry name in the league and e-mail address so I can contact you if your a winner.

Great little golf game discovered by Noel- and probably the first time most of us have tried fantasy golf?!

In setting up the league, he had a few issues finding out who owned which team, as the Masters site didn’t add people’s names to their team. Nonetheless, Noel persevered, and a decent sized league of 17 individual entries joined, so creating a decent prize pot…and somehow I bagged 2nd place!

Prompt payment on winnings as ever by Noel- thanks mate. Anyone reading this can have 100% trust that he will pay you any winnings if you partake in any of the games/ leagues which he runs on various sports.
