FPL - WINNER TAKES ALL - 2025/26 (Money Leagues)

This will be the thirteenth year I have run an online mini-league on the Premier Leagues own fantasy football game. I must be nuts as I have never got to grips with this game and always finish near the bottom so throw my entry fees away (£25) annually. But some of you are really into my leagues and take them very seriously because they are ‘Winner Takes All’ affairs, so if you win - especially in the more recent years - it’s a lot of money to bank (follow link at bottom of this post for past winners history & pay-outs). I have to be involved or I cannot make up the leagues so feel obliged to partake each season, just wish I could be more competitive!

Actually, if you win how about the following season as a thank you, stick an entry into my favourite fantasy football game - TFF (Telegraph Fantasy Football) - details can be found here: TFF 2025/26 - ‘BLM PREMIERSHIP’ (£40 Money League)

But I digress, quite simply - register online, select your team and then if you wish, join one or both of my mini money leagues.

website address: Fantasy Premier League (FPL)

My Classic League is £15 (£10 + £5) total to enter. This is because of the Cup competition FPL introduced several seasons ago in Classic Scoring Leagues. So, the extra £5 entry per team is to make the prize for the Cup winner.

However, there is no Cup competition in The Head-to-Head league so it is just £10 to enter.

The first league is what’s known as a ‘classic’ style league - where we are all in a league together and your total fantasy points scored decides your position in the league and at the end of the season whoever is top takes home the number of entrants in the league x £10… hence the league name being: WINNER TAKES ALL & the eventual winner of the new Cup competition will bank the number of teams in the league x £5.

Any unpaid for teams once the season starts (so sometime during Week 1) will be deleted by me without further reference. So, if you do want to play in this league this season make sure to pay your entry fee(s) before the season kicks off. I will confirm prize pay-outs on this thread once I know how many paid entries each league has.

Name of this league: WINNER TAKES ALL entry fee - £15

The other league I run is a ‘head to head’ style league where you are matched with another opponent in the league each week of the season and your weekly score versus the person you’re playing decides whether you win, lose or draw and like in the real Premier League you get 3 points a win, 1 point a draw and nothing for a loss. Those points decide your place within the league and with this league whomever is top of the league at the end of the season wins all the money (as the head-to-head league does not have a cup competition and I have chosen to have no knock out rounds).

Head-to-Head

Name of this league: HEAD 2 HEAD - W.T.A. entry fee - £10

So, in both leagues it works like this - 1st place at the end of the season takes all the £10 wonga (so # of teams x £10 = prize).

But also, in the Classic league the extra £5 entry fee goes to make up the internal Cup prize. (so # of teams x £5 = cup prize).

The more teams, the more prize money on offer - so go recruit your friends (but not if there any good)!

FPL lets you join many leagues but you can only have one team and that team is in however many leagues you join - so it’s no more time consuming to join multiple leagues. So, if you’re doing this game already think about joining one or both of my money leagues - after all it’s only a few quid and you may win a nice prize for your season’s efforts… always more fun when there’s money on it - don’t you think?

You can play in these leagues from anywhere in the world and everyone is welcome. However I seem to get brand new names every season join and no contact is made to pay so from now on anyone who has not paid the entry fee in the Classic league will be deleted during Gameweek one and in the Head to Head league I will have a cull on the opening day of the season before the first deadline is reached and remove any unpaid for teams. So, if you truly want in to these money leagues make sure you pay before the season starts!

If you’re new to my games and don’t know how to pay me or simply forgotten just e-mail me, PM me from here (TFP forum) or hit me up on my Discord channel Discord / BLM fantasy games and I’ll send you the info. upon request.

PS - I keep winners history records for all fantasy games I run so thought you might like to see the history for my FPL money leagues (perhaps your name can appear here at the end of this coming season):

UPDATE - FPL (Winner Takes All) Head to Head league

I am sorry to be doing this so late but unfortunately yet again I have ended up with 2 welchers (non-payers) in my Head-to-Head League. I have so many games launching at the start of the English football season I find it impossible to get up to date with payments coming in before season kicks off meaning I run out of time to identify and remove people from the H2H league that have not paid. In the Classic league this is not a problem as I can remove people from the league even after the season starts - but alas not in the Head to Head league. So for this reason next year I will not be publicly publishing the H2H league joining code. It will only be given out to new joiners after payment is received.

So alas yet again we have a couple of welchers this season squewing the Head to Head league. As a code had to be entered to join the Head to Head league the following two unpaid entrants (screen shotted below) can not win the cash prize pot and will be added to my Welchers Blacklist here:

PRIZE CONFORMATIONS

After removing the non-paid for teams from my ‘FPL WTA Classic’ league we were left with 43 paid up entrants. So that makes the prizes for the 2025/26 season as follows:

This is my biggest ever entry pool in my ‘Winner Takes All’ Classic FPL league (surpassing last seasons total by 1)!

In my ‘FPL WTA Head to Head ’ league I got 37 paid entries and two welchers - Zakariye Bouni and Greg Preece (teams shown in previous post above) - who I was unable to delete before season had started due to being to slow to identify them as welchers! So the H2H prize for the 2025/26 season is:

This is also my biggest ever entry pool in my ‘Winner Takes All’ Head-to-Head FPL league!

Have fun & may the best fantasy managers win!

Looks like the numbers keep creeping up, which always ramps up the pressure. I’ve found that keeping an eye on live football scores helps me react faster on weekends, especially when a last‑minute goal flips bonus points or clean sheets. For tight money leagues like yours, those tiny swings can be the difference between bragging rights and a long season of what‑ifs.

So another FPL season comes to an end and yet again we have a brand new champion, so congratulations (David Hood / Toalie) who has won BLM’s Classic FPL ‘Winner Takes All’ league for this season (2025/26) and bags a really nice £430 prize pot for his troubles! He finished 34 points ahead of 2nd, so not as close as the 1 point difference between 1st & 2nd season before last!

For me, yet again it was another soul destroying season finishing down in 38th place (only 1 position better than I did last season which was also a shocker for me). I really cannot seem to get to grips with how you do well in FPL?

I finished 375 points behind this leagues winner this season - I suppose that is an improvement on last year - where I was 490 points off the winners score! I truly wish I could do better at this game but as hard as I try I just can’t seem to figure out how you play this game being even remotely competitive?

BUT I AM NOT A QUITTER SO WILL THROW IN MY £15 IN FOR ENTRY AGAIN NEXT SEASON!

I am pretty sure these days my league attracts the best of the best FPL players due to the payouts all going to the two winners (League and Cup) and not spread about so if you ever win one of the two prizes even just once it kind of covers your £15 annual entry fee forever and proves very lucrative indeed. I have noticed more and more players joining from outside of the UK so even with cross border transaction charges to pay me in GBP it’s not putting folk off. So when your a mere mortal like me it makes me feel so much worse at FPL than I probably am (using a world-wide average).

So, who can bag the Classic leagues honours next season, you perhaps?

Also, a big congratulations goes to only our fifth ever FPL WTA Cup winner - (Richard Plank / Plankorama) who bags himself a not to shabby £215 for his efforts.

The Cup was a new optional spin off competition FPL introduced from the 2021/22 season in Classic format FPL leagues.

Finally congratulations goes to (Dave Robson / Robbo10) for topping my ‘Head to Head’ FPL WTA money league. It was a small 3 point win this season from second place (last year was just a 1 point gap). Fine margins indeed. But I digress, for winning my FPL WTA H2H league for the 2025/26 season Dave bags a nice £370 for his troubles!

Alas, yet again we had a couple of welchers this season and I was unable to remove them before the season started as I have so many games going on the Premier League that I was well behind with marrying off payments to entries and thus by the time I identified them as non payers the league was locked.

Next season I hope I can be more up to date to remove any teams who have not paid or have entered using pseudonyms or made up names. My FPL leagues are serious money leagues and strictly one team per person leagues. Why people join and do not pay I have no idea as they won’t get paid should they win?

So, will it be you winning this league next season or will someone who’s bagged £’s before, bag £’s again?

Look out for details posted here on (The Fan Pub forum) when FPL launch their game for the 2026/27 season and get involved (if you think you can challenge these pros?). Also spread the word as new joiners are always welcome - as long as they pay the entry fee(s)!

Cheers Noel! Thanks for organising, and for the gratefully received prize payment. I’ll be back to defend the title next season (ideally doing a better job than Liverpool just managed!)

Cheers Noel (and well played Toalie)

I can highly recommend entering this league, even if you’re as useless as me (and Noel, apparently) the cup gives a fantastic second chance for a very decent cash prize, also very gratefully received. You just need to be so far out of contention for the league at the half way point that you can hoard chips and target the cup!
