Fantasy Champions Trophy 2025 (CricketXI.com) £5 Money Leagues

Fantasy Champions Trophy 2025 - Pakistan and the United Arab Emirates - STARTS 19th February!

Hey There,

I noticed CricketXI has got a fantasy Champions Trophy 2025 game up, which starts 19 February and runs through to the Final on 9 March. The tournament will begin with Pakistan playing New Zealand in Karachi in the opener. So, I thought why not do my usual couple of small stakes ‘Winner Takes All’ £5 money leagues (Classic and Head-to-Head) on the tournament. The whole tournament / fantasy game will be over in less than a month.

One game will take place per day in the group stage, with all matches starting at 09:00 GMT.

I’ve set up 2 leagues - one is an Open Classic style type league where you’re all on a ladder based on your total fantasy points scored. The other is a Head-to-Head type league where you play one other team from the league each round and you win, lose or tie. A win is 4 points, a Tie 2 points and a loss 0. That decides your position in the league with tie breakers to split teams such as points % (difference between points scored and points scored against you). In the Head-to-Head league the top 4 teams make the final knock out rounds (Rnd 4 - SF / Rnd 5 - F) to decide the Champion.

To make a little bit of interest and a prize for the winners’ skill (or luck) I am making each league £5 to enter and as I stated before both leagues are ‘Winner Takes All’. So, the more entrants the bigger the prize - so please feel free to post a link (bottom right of this post) to this info on your social media and send to mates via messenger apps if you think you know anyone else that might like to join in.

People are welcome to join one or both leagues and I hope people will feel £5 is not much at all and give these leagues a go. The game starts (Round 1) 09:00am UK time, 19th February 2025 so there’s less than a week left to play with your teams’ line-up (there’s a trade amnesty until first game starts) and please spread the word - recruit your friends, acquaintances, work colleagues and please do tell any other cricket fans about my league. I do appreciate anyone’s help I can get to grow the entry pool.

The Head-to-Head league can have a maximum of 12 teams so it is first come first served (but to run it needs a minimum of 4 entrants - so 3 more other than myself). Also, due to bad experiences in the past with people joining and not paying or strangers joining (great) but making no attempt to contact me to pay the entry fee (bad) I will now delete anyone’s team who has no history with me of partaking in my fantasy money leagues just before the tournament starts if they have not paid. So, if your new or not a regular player of my fantasy money games then the onus is on you to settle up before the first game starts.

Anyone reading this who does not know the score regards paying me your entry fees just PM (Private Message) me from here (the TFP forum) giving me your e-mail address and I’ll send you this info.

Best regards as always and I do hope to see your team in my league(s) soon,

bluelionman (aka Noel Symonds)

2025 Champions Trophy Prize Conformations

I can now confirm the prizes to the winner of each league are as follows:

Open Classic - £80
Head to Head - £60

May the best team managers win! :cricket_bat_and_ball: :cricket_bat_and_ball:

A big Congratulations to yours truly - yep me - Noel Symonds / bluelionman - who won the Open Classic ladder style league. It was such a tight final battle with 4 of us swapping in and out of 1st place as the final unfolded. Every wicket and decent knock seemed to change who was winning.

Luckily for me when the music stopped I was in first position which has made me feel much better as I was so disappointed to lose in the Semi-Final’s of the Head to Head league. In the Head-to-Head league it was actually the 4th (& final) qualifier that won out - Mark Pearson who beat Ashutosh Jha / Tosh612 in the final. :cricket_bat_and_ball:

The Classic league had 16 teams entered and the Head to Head 12 teams entered so I Noel Symonds / bluelionman pocket £80 winnings (Classic) and Mark Pearson banks £60 winnings (Head to Head).
