Always happen once the we get deep into the season… hopefully this is the Biscuits’ time to soar ![]()
Half way through the season, and rapidly approaching the All Star break - and not much is happening in our league…
The top three is unchanged - Portland, from Albuquerque, from Great Lakes - though a good week by Javier means he has extended his lead at the top.
And the bottom three is also unchanged Amarillo behind Sugar Land, who are behind Spokane - though a bad week for Mozza means he is further adrift at the foot of the table…
Morning!
It’s been a strangely static season for our league - just checked back and I have been in exactly sixth place for every single update…! (spoiler alert - today is no exception)
Javier and Andy S remain 1st and 2nd, and still have a big gap down to 3rd place. In fact, absolutely nobody has changed their position since last time… maybe after the all star weekend odd things will happen as injuries start to pile up…?
Some action in the middle of the table…
Top 3 remain unchanged, bottom 3 remain unchanged. But Paul’s Aviators drop two spots to 6th place as both Sam and I shuffle up a place. (We both have a podium place firmly in our sights, so watch out Malcy!)
After the heart stopping excitement of the tie for first place, Andy has continued to perform well and has now regained clear first place ahead of Javier.
My relentless rise up the table has taken me to 4th now, with Malcy in my sights…
(This was meant to be posted a week ago… sat in my drafts for the last 7 says…DOH!)
Literally it was just earlier this month that I did a bonus post to call out the fact there was a tie for first place… now Andy and his Isotopes are almost 150 points clear ![]()
Javier has the consolation that he is still (just about) hanging onto second place!
Grüezi from Switzerland! I am very briefly in Zürich, on my way to Liechtenstein. So only a quick update…
Andy’s Isotopes continue to have a stranglehold on the league, still over 200 clear. But after shake up behind him - two good weeks have vaulted Sam’s Bananas up to second. Fewer than 50 points between 2nd and 5th, could be an exciting fight for the podium places
Morning! The end is in sight… only about another week of the regular season left.
Andy and his Isotopes remain over 200 points clear, so I think he can safely begin preparing his victory speech now. Sam is still 2nd, but with only a slim lead over Malcy. And my hopes of a late run to a podium spot are starting to fade…
That’s us done for another season.
Congratulations to Andy S - who becomes a two-time baseball champion. Hats off also to Malcy and Sam who complete the podium.
Former champ Jordan was last after week 1, and has never been out of the bottom two places all year - a wooden spoon headed his way.
And a special mention for Javier - long time leader, still joint top in early August, but then crumbled to finish fifth ![]()
