I was listening to former ESPN reporter Ed Werder recently. He asked an unnamed NFL executive (would be a GM) to compare Fournette #4 2017 to Elliott #4 2016. Although Fournette was highly thought of the executive implied that he was not directly comparable to Elliott who has a much superior skill set and if they had both been drafted in the same year the grade on Elliott would have been much higher.
Be interesting to see if this is the case after each have played 3 seasons.
Interesting that, Elliott certainly had the best rookie landing spot, but he didn’t disappoint. Will be a much bigger challenge for Fournette
